Talking about yesterday

In this video we´ll learn how to use the simple past tense.

There are many ways to refer to the past in English, but the past simple tense is the most common of them.

It describes a specific action that started and finished at a specific time in the past; it can also describe an action that has been already completed by the time you refer to it in the present while you talk.

As we can see in the video, the forms “called”, “answered”, “played”, “got”, “ate”… are simple past tenses of verbs.

There are irregular and regular verbs in English… Regular verbs show past tense by adding -ed to the infinitive.

The goal of this video is to be able to follow the conversation in the second part, with subtitles in English. It’s simple!
